Brooklyn Criminal Court

Suffering an arrest and being held in custody or receiving a Desk Appearance Ticket (DAT) means that you will now be dealing with the Brooklyn Criminal Court system. The Criminal Court handles a multitude of cases including returns on a warrant, misdemeanors, felonies and DWI violations, not to mention Drug crime and Sex Crime matters. In the case of a misdemeanor violation, the Brooklyn Criminal Court will deal with the matter from the initial Arraignment process through the trial and sentencing phase. In the case of a felony, the court will hear the arraignment and indictment phases. After this, felony cases are transferred to the Supreme Court. Brooklyn (Kings) Criminal Court is located at 120 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn, by Livingston Street and Smith Street.

The Brooklyn Supreme Court is at 360 Adams Street, Brooklyn, at Adams and Joralemon Steet, off Fulton Street.
