Being involved in a Criminal Court matter can be confusing and stressful. The following will set out some useful information regarding the Nassau County Criminal Court including address, hours & directions.

The New York Criminal Court system gives the Nassau County Criminal Court the authority to adjudicate matters after the arrest within the County lines. This is regardless of whether it is a new arrest or a return on a warrant. The Court hears a wide variety of cases, everything from DWI, Domestic violence, sex crimes and White collar crime, inclusive of both felonies and misdemeanors. With the exception of felony matters, cases here are dealt with from Arraignment until the conclusion of the case. This court will also handle felony cases up to indictment, where they are moved to the County Court. This court will not handle a Nassau Traffic Ticket violation however; those are handled by a separate traffic court (click on link for further information of a traffic related matter). Parking: There is general and disabled parking in Field 14 and Field 7.

Directions: The Supreme Court is located two blocks south of Old Country Rd-between Washington Avenue and County Seat Drive. Take the Long Island Expressway or Northern State Parkway to Roslyn Road Exit south to Old Country Road.

Court Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (the court is open on weekends for arraignments 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m)

Parking: There is a parking lot one block from court. There are designated spaces for the disabled.

Directions to Court: One block north of Fulton Avenue. One Main Street, Southern State, Northern State or Meadowbrook Parkways to Hempstead.

Glen Cove City Court: City Courts handle Penal Law and City Code misdemeanors and minor offenses. They will also hear arraignments for felony cases.
